We are excited to host the University’s annual learning and teaching conference on 11th and 12th of June. Our theme for this year’s conference is Meeting Our Challenges. This will enable colleagues to share, discuss, and brainstorm clear ways forward to enhance learning and teaching at Stirling, with a particular focus on the international student experience. Our first day will be hosted online, and the second day will be on campus.
Day 1
The first day of the conference (11 June) will be held online, and we will be joined by our international partners to hear about their work. Our keynote talk will be delivered by Dr Mike Perkins (Head of the Centre for Research & Innovation at British University Vietnam), focusing on ‘Transforming Assessment Practices in Higher Education with the AI Assessment Scale (AIAS).’

During the on campus day (12 June), we look forward to an international student panel discussion, workshops, talks, and a celebration of the 100 colleagues who have earnt Advance HE fellowships in the last year. We will conclude the event with an interactive keynote talk by Natalie Brown (Deputy Dean of the Nottingham School of Art & Design at Nottingham Trent University), focusing on ‘Power Up: Transforming Student Engagement through Coaching at Scale’ which will help us think about how we can engage and support our students.
