Padlet

Padlet is a visual collaboration tool that can be used to collect and organise thoughts and ideas on a topic. Among other things, the Padlet posts may include text, images, drawings, audio, links, video and file attachments. It’s a good, quick way of gathering ideas, feedback, comments and suggestions.

The University of Stirling has an institutional site license for Padlet. This allows staff and students access with their normal network Stirling username and password.

What is Padlet?

Padlet allows students to post thoughts and comments on a given topic. Creating a Padlet essentially sets up a web page that can then be shared with potential contributors by its URL. The Padlet may be set up from of a number of templates or existing designs, or customised by you.

Once a Padlet has been created and students have been invited to it, they may post comments. Once their comments have been posted to the Padlet board, depending on the style of board chosen, posts may be dragged around and placed wherever, allowing ideas or suggestions to be grouped by person or topic. The Padlet posts may include text, images, drawings, audio, links, video and file attachments.
